INTRODUCTION TO THE ARTISTS PROFILE

 As we are working on launching the new Art Exposure platform later this year, we also want to create other contents to help support our main objective that is to focus on contemporary African artists and their art. We want to introduce the ARTISTS PROFILE which focuses on shedding more light on African artist's both known and unknown to the masses by creating this video content that will help the viewers have some knowledge about contemporary African artists on our continent. We have artists that are making it and those that are emerging and we see it as part of our objective to let all be known alongside their works and achievements. This is aimed at getting others inspired and also educating everyone about what our African artists have been up to.


HOW TO GET FEATURED ON THE ARTISTS PROFILE

If you are also an artists and want to partake in this, you can send an email to us theartexposure@gmail.com the email must contain
-images of you and your work
-a short biography that contains key elements that brings the spotlight to your career especially your achievements (if any)
-links to any video about you working on your art or any video that is centered on your art work. (If you have any)
-link to your website and your social media handles

We will do our best to post these contents every Saturday on our platform. We will also post it on youtube and create blogposts for artists that have sent their contents to us. We are always doing our best to find ways and means to support our artists.

Meet Silas Onoja, a hyper-realistic painter based in Abuja, Nigeria. Silas works are jaw dropping and when you view his artworks, you might mistake them for an actual picture. Artists Profile: Alex Peter

Meet Alex Peter, one of the most impressive artists who has caught the attention of many people on social media. He is a Nigerian. He discovered his love for art at a very young age and he kept developing his talent as his passion for art grew bigger. He creates hyper-realistic artworks and the method he uses to create the artworks is what baffles many. He uses razor blade on wood and burner a method known as Pyrography. He uses razor blade to draw on burnt wood, etching the burnt surface out piece by piece and he ends up highlighting the subject of interest. He begins by first sketching his subject on a flat wood surface before burning it with a blow lamp before he starts scrapping it.
